薮田 法子

兵庫県姫路市生まれ・在住。宮古島で海レジンアートに出会い、その美しさに心を動かされるも一度は制作から離れる。その後、大切な姉との死別を経験し、「自分の人生だから、やりたいことに挑戦したい」と、諦めきれなかった海レジンアートの制作を再開。現在は瀬戸内・赤穂(あこう)とのつながりを深めながら、約1800年にわたり受け継がれてきた赤穂の塩に着目。光を受けてきらめく塩の結晶の美しさと、古くから受け継がれてきた塩の力に惹かれ、新たな海の表現として作品に取り入れている。

NORIKO YABUTA

Born and based in Himeji, Hyogo, Japan. I discovered ocean resin art in Miyakojima and was deeply moved by its beauty. After stepping away from creating for a time, the loss of my beloved sister inspired me to begin again-with the belief that life is precious, and that we should pursue what truly matters to us. Through the sea and the crystals of Ako salt, I create works that give form to memories and emotions.

CONCEPT

  • 消えていくものを、記憶として残す。

  • 目には見えなくても、生き続ける記憶や想い。

  • 海と赤穂の塩の結晶を通して、今を生きることの尊さを伝えていく。
